AMD has announced an investment in BlueStacks, a venture capital-backed software development firm. BlueStacks proposed a solution that allows Android applications to work quickly and in full-screen mode on Windows-based devices.

BlueStacks was founded by Rosen Sharma, a successful entrepreneur who created several companies that were later acquired by industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Citrix and McAfee. BlueStacks software solution was demonstrated in the AMD Fusion zone at the COMPUTEX-2011 conference in Taipei.
AMD and BlueStacks are collaborating on optimizing the BlueStacks App Player software for Windows, designed for tablets and laptops based on APU and AMD VISION technology.
