My yesterday's topic “Bootstrapping as stupidity or cowardice?” Caused a hot wave of discussions under 200 comments and personal letters. For those who are newly interested in the meaning of the word “bootstrapping,” I suggest referring to the links to the wiki in the original topic.
The authors of comments and letters were divided into several camps:
some said that the topic made them think about how to do better: is it worth it to continue to code in the evenings or already at the existing stage to come to the investor for advice and money;
others said that they have a wonderful product, which they have almost done, and the whole thing is in the conditions that I offer;
still others — who are always there — have simply said that I, to put it mildly, are an inadequate person.
The third category of people offer something meaningless, but the first two I challenge. I am ready next week to talk on Skype with the authors of projects that are being made on bootstrapping, and who already have something that you can touch with handles.
According to the Skype conversation:
each project author will be able to decide for himself whether at the current stage it is worth getting investments from GlavStart - whether we can speed up and scale up the project with our money and experience;
if there are worthy projects, then in subsequent personal negotiations we will be able to determine what investment conditions can be mutually beneficial for both the author of the project and Glavstart.
It seems to me that the only criterion of truth is practice. Stop troll on the comments. Let's really see what you have and what you can do about it. ')
My name is Arkady Moreynis. You can sign up for a Skype interview at idea@glavstart.ru. At once I will say that a certain selection of applications will: an obvious inadequacy will be eliminated, which unfortunately occurs, as well as projects that do not have the desire or potential to become big business.
Ps. December 5 in Moscow will be held TechCrunch Russia - a landmark event in the world of the Internet. As part of this conference, I will lead Startup Battle - "start-up battle." Startups are selected by Glavstart. The selected promising start-ups will have the opportunity to quickly light up in front of Western investors. Also worth keeping in mind.
