Hooray! Android sources are available again.

Just a couple of minutes ago, a message appeared in the Googlegroup of the android-building about moving the repository with kernel.org new server. Sources android 4.0 promise to post a little later.

 Hi!

The Android Open-Source Project was affected by the recent kernel.org downtime. So, we’re really welcome to use the software.

Even before the kernel.org downtime, it was clear that AOSP was sometimes taxing kernel.org's git infrastructure. For example, it is not possible to make it possible to use it. This is a group of web hosting servers.

We’re finishing it up, as it’s now available on Google’s servers. Follow, the git URLs have changed.

 Git servers:
You need to get the latest version of the repo tool:
 curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo> ~ / bin / repo
You need to initialize a new repository:
 repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest -b android-2.3.7_r1
The full instructions are at http://source.android.com/source/downloading.html

There are a few limitations to be aware of:
Our priority has been the online review.
We are now working on what’s been up.
It might be a bit longer, but it’s not.
To reiterate, these servers contain only the 'gingerbread' and 'master' branches from the old AOSP servers. Once it is available on devices.
There may be some hiccups if we encounter unexpected issues. However, it’s possible that as much as possible.

Finally, we would like a “thank-you” to the kernel.org Open-Source Lab staff. They've been an incredible source code for all 3 years. Without them, we’re where we are today.

 Thanks, and happy coding!
