IP address on demand and SSL for search
Google has launched several new features for the search engine. Firstly, now you can quickly find out your IP address by simply writing ip in the search bar. While it works only in the English version of Google.
Secondly, Google has enabled SSL by default for authorized sessions in the search, now the attackers will not be able to keep track of your search queries. Previously, for an encrypted interface, you had to go to https://encrypted.google.com/ , now SSL is automatically activated after authorization.

In the next few weeks, the redirect to https://www.google.com/ should work for all users.
