I wanted to respond to “6 student tips”, but decided to highlight it in a separate article, because inside there is a link that can be useful for students.
So what about higher education: do you need it or not? What does the university give? What is the value of a graduate?
Surely there will be many opinions. Often directly opposite. But I will express my own, which is now based on personal experience too, but 20 years ago these were the words of the teachers.
')
So: the task of the university is to give a certain style of thinking and the ability to find information. No more and no less.
Univer is not intended to provide instructions, memorizing formulas and constants.
Univer should give such a style of thinking that any task will not scare you. Let it be completely new, but you will look at it calmly. Break into pieces and decide. You will find information, because you will have a rather large map of human knowledge in your head, and you will know where to dig further.
Univer (technical) will allow you to solve a bunch of problems, to prove a crowd of theorems, but this is just a training session. Do not think that the serrated tensor number is an end in itself.
What is the value of a graduate: that he is young! And that he has a flexible and powerful brain that can quickly learn (all remember the session ). This is the value, and not in any particular knowledge.
Next time for an interview or cover letter, be sure to mention this as your most important advantage. And if the office is looking for personnel (who decide everything), then you will be taken. Because you are “cracking a chip”, you are not pretending to be a super specialist, but you understand that you are high-quality material from which the office will make the one who needs it.
It is clear that if the office is looking for a coder for php (java, c #, etc), which they need right now and for a couple of months, then this is another story. But is it worth going to such an office? Well, only if temporarily and not for the full time.
Now specifically: if you are a student of those. University and soon finish, here there is such a link -
wwwooti.win.tue.nl +
wwwooti.win.tue.nl/jobsThis is a 2-year Software Technology tutorial in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. This program was made as a bridge between the university and the industry. She will give new knowledge + 9 months project in a real office (such as Philips).
The program pays a scholarship, it will be enough for life (but you can't beat it But a real chance: to get an extra. Foreign education, improve English, get a job, look at another country from the inside)
Need to know English + tech. Education.
