Sony Online Entertainment will unite with Virgin Comics to create an online game

The two most innovative entertainment world companies Sony Online Entertainment (hereinafter SOE) and Virgin Comics (hereinafter referred to as VC) will unite in order to transfer the world of the Hindu comic Ramayan 3392 AD to an MMO game for personal computers.

“Ramayan has inspired millions of people for centuries. The transfer of this great ancient saga to the gaming platform once again confirms the fact that Ramayan is one of the greatest stories that has ever been told, ”says Depak Chopra, one of the owners of VC. “The fact that this team of creative young people will work together with the SOE development team demonstrates the inventiveness and mental abilities of these gifted Indians who will take the new generation to new frontiers through seas of consciousness to new worlds of mysteries, magic, travel and transformation” .

Thanks to this exclusive, multi-year licensing agreement, SOE will develop and publish an IMO game based on Ramayan's mythical tales. VC will act as a creative project consultant. Creative participation in the development of the game will be headed by the president and head of VC - Suresh Setharaman, who oversaw the development of the comic itself, and it was also announced that film director Shekhar Kapur, one of the founders of VC, will also take part in it.
