Amazon Dynamo: Highly Available Key-Value Data Warehouse

Dynamo article : Amazon's Highly Available Key-value Store was published on the blog of Amazon’s technical director Werner Vogels / Werner Vogels / four years ago. This publication was the impetus for the development of such well-known projects as Cassandra , Riak , Voldemort . The concepts described in this article have not lost their relevance even now.

The first time I read it diagonally about a couple of years ago. And now I decided to re-read it more carefully, and this thoughtful reading somehow turned into a translation by itself.

I am sure this information will be useful not only for those who work with distributed databases, but also for a wider circle of developers and system engineers interested in scalable architectures.

The original text is written by technicians and is not a masterpiece of English literature. I tried to disentangle and simplify complex five-story sentences, however, it was not possible to do this everywhere without deviating from the source text.
