120 km / h on AA batteries

How many AA batteries will it take to power a car and accelerate it to 120 kilometers per hour? This question is akin to such as “how many balloons are needed to lift a cow into the air” and “how many rolls of toilet paper will be needed to wrap the moon with it”. Nevertheless, there are people in the world who are seriously engaged in the solution of precisely such completely frivolous tasks. They live mainly in Japan and work in large corporations. For example, in Panasonic, whose employees created an electric car on ordinary AA-batteries.
Only 192 batteries, and how goes!
Local engineers have designed an unusual single car weighing only 38 kilograms and a length of 3.3 meters, driven by electricity generated by 192 “Panasonic” batteries.

The most amazing thing in this story is the fact that there was enough energy to accelerate the car to 122 km / h. The record, by the way, was immediately listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
