Last week, Wanted.VC enriched with another dozen projects. The authors of some of them are from Yekaterinburg, where the 2nd Ural Startup Weekend will take place this weekend. You can get to know them, socialize and agree on cooperation at the weekend.

We first heard about the CIVIA project at the last Moscow Startup Weekend. There, the idea of ​​an online game that reproduces the real political situation in the virtual space did not have time to find the proper response - the author had to urgently go to the airport.

Having worked out some details and having finished the general concept, Philip Duhly, the creator of CIVIA , decided to tell about the project again - this time on Wanted.VC. +++

In the usual sense, a store (and even an online store) is a place where they sell - well, say, books, e-books, programs, sausage, or, in extreme cases, their free time (see, for example, the project TimeAngel ).
Shopdepot is quite a shop, but instead of sausage and software, it sells shops. That's right, shops. Online shopping. +++

More recently, on Wanted.VC we wrote about “ StroyKompas ” - a service for builders, a kind of analogue of a ten-year filing of the magazine “Everything for a Builder” (if, of course, to assume that such existed at all).
Bridgem , a social network for jewelers, is in this sense an analogue of StroyCompass : the number of professional services on the site allows you to boldly name it among the main working tools for specialized professionals. The founding fathers of Rybalka.com were very, very fond of fishing. They fished to the erased palms, to the numbness of the legs, to the watery eyes. They fished so that even the uninitiated, looking at them, wanted to become fishermen.
Then the founding fathers of Rybalka.com made a simple website where fishing adepts gathered, laid out photos of the catch and discussed the laid out.
4 years have passed since the launch of that site. Now this simple site is called Rybalka.com and has 30,000 unique visitors daily. +++



The Flickr.com service has long remained an outlet for the visually starving: post ugly pictures on a site with such an interface is not something that did not want to, but simply was ashamed. On Flickr , designers, professional and semi-professional photographers, artists, and simply passionate to beautiful pictures of passionaries, very quickly moved.
The Flickr paradox was that the gadfly's field of activity was limited to the site itself. The author of the project IT'S GOOD! , also a big fan of beautiful pictures, decided to develop a thought. On the site he created, users can add to their blog the images they like from any site, simply by clicking on them. +++

As practice shows, all the problems of students can be divided into two large groups: moral and technical (this applies to graduates to a lesser extent, since moral problems themselves evaporate over time - as, indeed, the very concept of morality). The circle of the former is so extensive, and the problems it contains are so individual that an attempt to solve them would seem monstrous arrogance.
Therefore, the authors of the project SKIP solve only technical problems. To understand which ones, it is enough to decipher the name abbreviation: “SKIP” - scanning, copying, Internet, printing. All together occupies an area of ​​one and a half square meters. +++
