Runet writes a book about Russia

“Duality” is a frequent word now, gradually penetrating even into offline. An example of this is the beginning of the work of the publisher Book2.0 on the first two-sided informative book about Russia.

The originality of this project lies in the fact that, in fact, the book is written by Runet users. At the forums and communities of cities in Russia will be placed suggestions publishers tell about the sights of the city, worthy, according to users, the inclusion in the book.

This is done so that every reader, having seen information about his hometown, can say “I believe!”

Initially, the project was positioned as a fascinating colorful guide for children. However, it soon became clear that this format attracts a large number of adults. In no case, the book will not be a boring reference book - a minimum of text, a maximum of illustrations. It will be built in such a way that the reader can open it on any page (for example, on the page of his region), find out where from it he could get and continue the “journey” wherever he wishes.

The sent information will be checked at once in several directions. Independent expert geographers, historians and local historians will be involved. There will also be a large number of online resources.

We are working on the creation of a small interactive flash-movie on the book. The book will consist of many inserts, tabs, "secrets" - users will be given the opportunity to virtually hold the book in their hands, "touch" and "look through" it.

The retail price of the book will be about 650 rubles. Approximate dates for the release of the first of the three parts of the book - November of this year. The closest analogues are recently published on the Russian market books "Egyptology" and "Dragon Science".
