The new battery for mobile phones from NTT DoCoMo charges only 10 minutes

Manufacturers of mobile devices and accessories have for many years been fighting for the duration of the “life” of an ordinary mobile phone battery. What solutions were not proposed: make the phone as simple as possible so that it can work for a week or two from one charge, and make the batteries more capacious, and use additional slots for the second battery. But still, there is no solution yet, but those who want to use unpretentious mobile phones are getting smaller, smartphones are becoming increasingly popular. Many top models of communicators do not withstand more than a few hours of active use, the maximum is watching a movie, play a couple of hours, talk with the watch, and everything needs to be charged. NTT DoCoMo has created a new type of battery that does not completely eliminate the problem, but weakens it.

This company offered a new type of battery that charges in just 10 minutes. Actually, this is a very good decision - after all, even if the smartphone is completely discharged, you can go to the nearest cafe, drink coffee, after asking to charge the phone, and that’s all - you can continue working or having fun using a mobile device.

In fairness, it should be noted that other companies have offered something similar before, but no one went further than concepts. And NTT DoCoMo is no longer a concept, but a really working battery, which will soon be launched into mass production. So far, the details of the new technology are unknown, but a demonstration of the fast charging of the battery is shown in the video, posted a little below. Soon, the new technology will get a practical implementation: the NEC Medias Android cell phone (it will be released only in Japan) will use a new battery.

When all this will appear on the mobile device market is also not completely clear. It is only known that the battery and the new phone with it will appear on store shelves soon. How much is “soon”, the manufacturer does not say yet. In any case, to other countries, except Japan, the battery of a new type will obviously not get in a month or two. But the fact that there is already an acceptable solution to the problem of rapidly discharging phones is good news.
