Odessa: two months of work by the sea

We are a startup project team ProjectVolna. For two months we were all in Ukraine. It all started with the choice of the dislocation point . We traveled to different cities by mid-September.

Workdays

The priority is the development of the platform. And in order not to interfere with meditating programmers, we introduced a rule: on the first floor, especially around WorkFlowRoom, do not wander aimlessly, talk on business, it’s funny not to joke.

Worktime

In silence, the clattering of keyboards and mice resounded, occasionally an obscene and obscure expression was heard to the "non-compiled" code.
Classical music sounded quietly in the kitchen from Sergey's laptop, and sometimes you could meet people speaking java.
The walls were overgrown with posters in several layers, the posters were covered with multi-colored tables, diagrams, mayndems, interface sketches.



Every Monday and Wednesday they played football. The skill of the players was getting higher, and the games were more and more heated. After football, according to tradition - a bath.
On the veranda - English classes, grapes right from the fence and philosophical conversations about methodology. Everyone really liked (and likes) the word zoom.
Occasionally, Ilya Almighty thoughtfully walked around the house, handed out wise advice to the doubters and instructed the erring on the right path.

Culinary question

Dinners we were preparing our notable cook Svetlana. We have done with her a small photo shoot in the labor-satanic style.



Svetlana is a root woman from Odessa and, of course, knows a lot of bearded jokes.
Every day we had a delicious, homemade meal. There was apricot compote.
At parting, Svetlana gave us postcards, shells, and Sasha, our pioneer counselor, gave us natural dried coral.

In general, the zuckerberg region works

Before the trip, we set goals to personally meet and, distracting from domestic problems, to work productively. All three goals are more than achieved.
The prototype of its own platform is undergoing refactoring, there are more than 1000 registered users on the site, excellent partners from Moldova are introducing our service, a clearer vision of its development has appeared.
The absence of the need to solve culinary, transport and domestic issues made it possible to concentrate more fully on the project. Sea, beautiful city, sunny weather - inspired.
All met and became friends.
Now even being in different cities, offices, houses, apartments, countries, our product plus Skype allows us to refine the ideas that have arisen in the joint work, to solve new problems.
We are not familiar with Zuckerberg and his methods, we have our own. But to everyone who has ever thought of getting a team somewhere in warm places to dive into the project, we advise you not to doubt. It really works.
