Plug and Play Russia in questions and answers

Hello!
Tomorrow is the last day when you can apply for incubation in Plug and Play Russia.
On this occasion, today is the day of questions and answers - in one post we answer those questions that we were asked in the comments and the PM on Habré, and also partially on other sites.

Q. What does a startup get from an incubator?
O. Said Amadi (founder and CEO of the Plug and Play Tech Center) replies:
- access to a community of more than 2,000 startups in Silicon Valley and Europe, access to US and European venture capital (more than 180 venture capital firms);
- corporate partnership (more than 100 companies, including insurance and law firms);
- wide client base;
- tight work with Western experts;
- reduced rates for the rent of equipped office space.

Q. So what is it that a startup will pay to be incubated?
A. Yes, although options are possible. This is one of those moments that is negotiated with each startup individually.

Q. On what conditions is the project settled in the incubator? Does the incubator take a share?
A. Again, not loved by many will answer - it depends. Different projects may be populated under different conditions. In general, the earlier stage you have, the greater the chance that they will not take a share.

Q. Is the project required to work within the walls of an incubator? If we are not from Moscow / not from Russia, does it make sense for us to apply?
A. No, not required. In this case, we can talk about virtual incubation. Those. You get access to all the resources of the incubator, but you are not physically in it. So, it makes sense to apply, even if you are not from Default City.

Q. So, money (start-up) will not be given to us?
A. Nope, they won't. But they will give the opportunity to present their project to almost 200 investors from the USA and Europe. Plus the expertise of Silicon Valley experts. For teams that aim at the global market, such connections and opportunities are more important than Russian money.

Q. What stage of the project does it make sense to submit?
A. Anyone. Even at the stage of the idea. In this regard, there are no restrictions.

Q. I have a non-IT project. Is there any reason?
A. There is. Biotech, medicine, energy and others - if you are doing something new (not to say “innovative”), then we are also waiting for you.

If any questions remain unanswered, please ask. We will reply with pleasure.
