ProReport - interactive reports office

From the opening date of the project ProReport , designed and funded as an experiment in the field of B2B start-ups, six months have passed. So far he has not paid back the initial investment, but is on the right path to this happy date. It seems to me that investments in an online project should return no later than a year after the commencement of commercial exploitation, otherwise the idea seems unwise, at least for a private direct investor.

I would like to talk about the main idea of ​​the project and, if possible, get constructive comments from people more experienced in launching B2B projects, regarding the chosen strategy and the market in which the project stands.

So, the project is aimed at marketers and entrepreneurs who are used to using purchased data in their work, both from primary sources (statistics, company reports, dashboards) and from ready-made reports conducted by numerous publishing agencies.

Today, “primary” information and ready-made reports are traditionally located at different sites, which is already wrong, since it may take both to work and it’s convenient to have one counterparty to search for and acquire the necessary data. So, the first goal is to accumulate numerous research content (paid, and then free) in one interface. At the moment, primary sources are not connected, work on their integration is actively underway.

The pdf format, which is currently the most common when buying / selling ready-made research, is also doubtful. Such a report is very difficult to edit, and compiling with other types of data is unbelievable. It is much more convenient to have the data in the form of elements of a single repository, marked with keywords. So, the second goal is to make the "interactive" format of research an industry standard . This requires the primary costs of translating publisher content to a new repository, but the game is definitely worth it. So, for example, a ready report is being prepared now: charts are separate, tables are separate, titles of headings are separate.

Secondary sales of industrial marketing reports such as the plastic bag market in the Saratov region are now carried out by personal reminders to customers who have already bought a similar report for the previous period. This may be once a quarter, in the half year, per year. Offer customers to subscribe, and update the report directly in the client's personal account - this is nowhere else. We have. So the third goal is to subscribe to the update on the purchased reports .

And finally, the fourth, most remote in time, goal: to create a platform for professional analysts who, on the basis of their own work, patterns, and paid business conditions, prepare their own research for their clients and for sale. We are not under a delusion; there is no such market yet, but the transition to dynamic online consulting will sooner or later be realized.
