Olympiad "Perspective in IT"

For quite some time now, CROC has been cooperating with leading Moscow universities, including in the field of education. Leading experts of our company give lectures and conduct practical training in some IT disciplines. And more recently, we also began to hold Olympiads for students whose goal is to stimulate the interest of talented young people in our industry and to encourage their success.

How did it start

We held the first Olympiad in spring 2010 for students of the Moscow State Technical University. Bauman in the nomination “Administration and Design of Information Systems”. Participants needed to demonstrate knowledge of modern technologies and terms, solve a number of administrative tasks, such as setting up services and troubleshooting, as well as finding the best IT solution for different business scenarios.

And now what

Since then, in MSTU. Bauman we held two more Olympiads in this area, as well as one in software development. Each time we improved our steps in organizing such events: we found new interesting tasks, and the prizes became more and more attractive. Some participants of the Olympics came to work with us in the company. But, we decided not to stop and to hold the Olympics not within the framework of a single university.
In November of this year, CROC will hold its first intercollegiate Olympiad , in which students of any higher educational institutions in Moscow will be able to take part. We do not care about your university profile or your specialty. The main thing is that you are interested in IT.

How will the Olympics be organized? The qualifying round will be held remotely via the Internet. This will be an online test with various questions on the knowledge of the subject area and according to its results the best participants will get to the final. The final round will be full-time and involves the implementation of practical tasks in a limited time.

For what

According to the results of the final round, in each nomination a trio of finalists will be determined, who will receive prizes - Apple MacBook Pro for the first place and iPad 2 for the second and third places. The finalists will also receive an additional scholarship from CROC during the semester. In addition, the authors of the most original solutions will be marked additionally.
