Wndows XP, which has been holding global leadership for the last 10 years, has given up its position to another Microsoft product - Windows 7. According to StatCounter statistics published last September, Windows XP accounted for 39.97%, while Windows 7 won 41.74%.
The much less successful Micrsoft Windows Vista product occupies a modest 11.51% - and the share of this system is steadily falling. Mac OS X has shown some growth from 5.9% in September 2010 to 6.89% in October 2011. ')
The share of Linux is extremely stable and is at the level of 0.78%.
