On the "top of the world" set the webcam

If you ever wanted to see what is happening on top of Mount Everest, now you can do it without leaving your home or office. At the top of the next mountain there is a webcam installed, which shows us everything that happens on Everest. The device was installed not by geeks, but by climate scientists, to whom the information provided by the camera allows to track changes in weather conditions.

The camera is installed on the mountain of Kala Pattar, known for having the best views of Everest from it. The webcam receives energy from the solar panel. The camera was called the Mobotrix M-12, and it is really a reliable device that can withstand powerful winds and temperature changes.

Every year, hundreds of climbers climb Everest. I wonder if the movements of the climbers will be visible from this position? This can be checked only in May, when the “season of ascent” on Everest opens. The camera itself works only during the day (which is not surprising), its mode of operation is from 6 am to 6 pm Nepal time.
