Review of the "sleeping" laptop Samsung 350U2B
Two months ago, there were only two laptops with a display diagonal of 12.5 inches in the world: Lenovo X220i and HP 2560p. A third representative of this rare species came to our editorial office.

The laptop has a beautiful body: strong, lightweight, with pleasant rounded shapes and recognizable features for Samsung laptops. Not a single glossy part and luxurious - only seven millimeters thick - matte edging of the display.
Edging, by the way, rubberized. Due to this, the laptop slams down with a very gentle and pleasant sound.
Almost no complaints about the keyboard and touchpad: the keys are island-like and very soft, and the touchpad is almost the size of an adult’s palm. The touchpad buttons also definitely worked out.
The only minus of the keyboard is that Cyrillic is red. With poor lighting it, unlike white Latin, is almost invisible. Have to type blindly
The Samsung 350U2B is, albeit the youngest, but fully charged: the second generation Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and half a terabyte on the hard disk. Although, given the compactness of the laptop, the 3G module would not be superfluous here. There is also a version with a Core i3 processor and a 320 GB hard drive - it will cost three thousand rubles less.
Double respect to Samsung engineers for connectors: I have never met a better arrangement in my life. On the right side are USB and HDMI ports, a power jack and a network connector. On the left - a headphone jack, a card reader, another USB and a connector for connecting an adapter to VGA.
It would seem that the budget version and all that, but even the little things in the Samsung 350U2B are five points. The laptop has an unusual cooling system: one of the holes is displayed at the junction of the bottom panel and the screen. Practice has shown that the solution is very good: the laptop almost does not heat up and does not make noise.
Or here are the speakers. I remember very few cases to specifically had to turn down the volume on a laptop, because it is too loud. So, in the 350U2B, the loud speakers bawled so that the volume on the “Yaz” in the Dubstep version had to be turned down.
On the bottom of the 350U2B are four large rubber legs: to consciously move the laptop away, you need to make an effort.
The battery can be removed! But in order to pull it out, you need to twist nine screws and remove the cover completely. By the way, in the mode of average power consumption, but with Wi-Fi on and maximum brightness, the battery lasts for 4.5 hours.
I really wanted to put this laptop "Editor's Choice" (and in my mind it was so entrenched), if not for one important detail. One of the main features of the laptop is a quick start. Samsung has long been working hard on this feature, but at 350U2B it has reached a new level.
The manufacturer suggests not turning off the laptop at all, but only putting it into sleep mode - special software installed in the laptop allows it. And without prejudice to comfortable work. Engineers even replaced “Shutdown” in the “Start” menu with “Sleep”.
The chip really works: the laptop turns off completely, and then it loads in 7-8 seconds. The problem is that Windows, which regularly downloads updates, or programs running in the background, makes the laptop a “brake” for the first 10-12 seconds after a quick start. Thus, the hibernation time is close to the full Windows boot time.
However, I still firmly shake hands with Samsung engineers: I am sure they will modify this function.

If you approach the issue very strictly and look for laptops with a display diagonal of only 12.5 inches, the result will be “2” - as already mentioned in the video.
Such a display diagonal still have only laptops Lenovo X220i and HP 2560p. But Hewlett costs from 49 thousand rubles, so he leaves the competition. But here you can safely add a 13.3-inch Acer 3830T, which costs the same 21-22 thousand rubles, but also comes with NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M discrete graphics! But it weighs 300 grams more.
