Amazon introduced its Kindle Fire tablet.

Rumors of a new Android tablet from Amazon have been around for a long time. Even before the launch of today's presentation, Bloomberg announced that the tablet, called Kindle Fire, will cost $ 199, will be 7-inch, with Wi-Fi support, but without 3G, and without a camera and microphone.

During the presentation of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, he added that the device will go on sale on November 15 and that it contains a dual-core processor and a multi-touch IPS display, weighs 414 grams and includes the new Amazon Silk browser. Content can be synchronized using the same Whispersync technology used on other Kindle devices.

In a separate interview with Bloomberg, Jeff Bezos said that the most important difference between Amazon in the tablet market is price.

“What we do is offer premium products at non-premium prices,” he said. “[Other tablet developers] were not competitively priced” and “just sold the device. We do not think of the Kindle Fire as a tablet. We think of it as a service. ”

The prices of most other tablets, including the iPad and BlackBerry PlayBook, are almost twice as high as the price of the Kindle Fire.
