Expansion timeStats - what do you spend time on the Internet

Pop-up window

As the reaction of habrapubliki on the topic “Start„ Motivate Clock: “Do not think about seconds down” “ shows, accounting for time spent interests many. Therefore, I want to introduce you to my project - the “ timeStats ” extension for the Chrome browser. With it, you will always know how much time is spent on various sites.

The main task of the expansion is to collect and display the statistics of time spent on the Internet on a pie chart in a pop-up window - you see it in the title of the article. This information is already enough to draw any conclusions)

More demanding users can use the additional statistics page:

Page with additional statistics

On this page you can see more detailed statistics for the selected period (from left to right, bottom to top):

Fans of sharing everything with others will not be offended in the same way: you can share a link to your pie chart with someone personally (by sending an abbreviated link to it), as well as upload it to twitter or google plus.
Share panel

And of course, some parameters of the extension can be configured:

The expansion is still under development, so requests and bug reports are accepted. Many wishes and comments of users are already implemented and eliminated). The timeStats extension is translated into English (the language changes depending on the settings of Chrome). If you notice any errors or inaccuracies in the translation, I will be happy to correct. PS If it were not for participation in the Google extension contest as part of the Ufa Google Technology User Group (GTUG) team , this extension would not exist, but I would not learn JavaScript)

PPS A new version has already been released, which:

The first item is implemented by embedding a content script using the Chrome Visibility API into the pages. Therefore, the extension had to request additional permissions - access to data on all sites. You should not worry - timeStats does not collect your personal data. Also corrected several other minor bugs. Thanks to all the “beta testers”!
