On Saturday, September 24, 2011, supporters of scientific and technological progress came to Revolution Square in the center of Moscow for the world's first rally for a radical extension of life. Supporters, however, gathered around 150 people, which is not bad for the first meeting, but very modestly throughout the country. A brief retelling of the rally for those who do not overpower it to see: A radical extension of life has become a necessity. Research in this area should be carried out quickly and efficiently, and it is a crime to hush up this topic or laugh it off. We want to conquer aging, disease, and death. Once it was unthinkable. But times change, science is developing rapidly. And now we want the state to hear us.
The rally was organized by the Russian Transhumanist Movement (RTD), a public organization promoting scientific and technological progress in the area of ​​enhancing human capabilities.
At the rally were: Danila Medvedev is a futurologist leading the “Programs for the Future” on the Russia-2 channel, Mikhail Batin (see also his video: Canceling Aging ) - Head of the Science for Life Extension Foundation and Director of the High Technologies Scientific Center at MIPT, Valeria Prayd - founder of the first in Russia cryo-firm “CryoRus”, Andrei Tropillo - Soviet and Russian rock producer (“Kino”, “Aquarium”, “Time Machine”, “Alisa”), Alexander Nikonov is a famous writer who repeatedly raised the themes of life extension and transhumanism in general in his books, the author of the book “The formula of immortality: on the way to the inevitable”, and other transhumanists. ')
