A few days ago I got into my very skillful pens the smallest and lightest smartphone in the world. This is the Nokia 6120 classic. I must immediately say that this is my far from the first experience of communicating with smartphones in general and especially with Nokia.
When, after a brief enorexia (refused to charge), my beloved N70 died safely, I had a difficult choice of heir. I dragged out the E65 for a week, felt the N73 udder and eventually stopped my muddy look at this smart kid.
Why? Yes, because he surprised me. With his weight, size and appearance, not actually associated with smartphones, he overwhelmed me with the support of most of the latest developments based on Symbian 9 and pleased with his style and character, so to speak about the phone. ')
I have never written phone reviews yet, but I will try to convey my feelings to you.
Let's look at the general characteristics for a start:
* Model: 2007, April * GSM 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA 2100/850 * BL-5B 3.7V 820 mAh battery * Symbian OS operating system v9.2, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 * Processor AMR 11 369 MHz * The display has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and supports up to 16 million colors * GSM talk time - up to 3.1 hours, WCDMA talk time - up to 2.4 hours, GSM standby time - up to 9.5 days, WCDMA time - up to 9.5 days * Weight 89 grams * Dimensions 105 x 46 x 15 mm
Smartphone Nokia 6120 classic is really small and light, this is its advantages and disadvantages. My N70 is just a mastodon compared to him.
One of the main drawbacks is a rather small screen. Just two inches. From the beginning it is very unusual, a high resolution still plays its role, but after half an hour of active use you get used to it and stop paying attention.
I, by the way, already read books on it, with the help of the irreplaceable Qreader 'a. And nothing, do not suffer.
There is no Wi-Fi support, as in the E Series, but I didn’t find it critical, since I don’t actively use the Internet in my phone, and it’s not very attractive with such a small screen.
It is worth noting that the Nokia 6120 classic was designed for a niche of budget smartphones, and the developers did not set themselves the goal of cramming it with image solutions.
So, for example, it does not have a stereo speaker, but there is full support for Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (A2DP, AVRCP, DUN, FTP, GAVDP, GOEP, HFP, HSP, OPP, SAP). By the way, the sound in the speaker is good, the melodies sound lush and loud.
Vibration is average, most likely due to low weight.
The phone communicates with a computer using Bluetooth or using USB 2, the benefit of the mini USB connector is in place of the usual Pop Port, next to the 2.5 mm headphone jack. The USB cable is included, the headphones are also, but the quality of the “ears” is rather low, I, after one-time listening, are already planning to buy a Bluetooth stereo headset.
In general, the phone is comfortable, in spite of the size it fits well in your hand, it is convenient to work with the keys with one hand. The seemingly controversial decision with making the upper navigation block of keys and the unusual arrangement of these did not affect me and did not seem inconvenient. I just quickly “got along” with this device.
Summary:
Stylish, classic design, small size and weight are not at the expense of ergonomics, support for most solutions and technologies, bright and clear screen of small size, low price (about 250-270 euros) - all these components together give a very competitive device, which will already in demand in the market, especially by people who respect the quality but not expensive devices used in everyday life, and not for ponts.
