A member of the hacker group LulzSec arrested for participating in the hacking of computer systems, Sony Pictures Entertainment

Today the FBI reported that a member of the hacker group LulzSec, twenty-three year old Cody Kretsinger (Cody Kretsinger) was arrested for taking part in an attack on computer systems Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Let me remind you that allegedly from May 27, 2011 to June 2, Sony Pictures Entertainment computer systems were compromised by a group of hackers known as “LulzSec” or “Lulz Security”.

According to the accusation, at the time of the crime, Cody was in the city of Tempe in Arizona. To organize the attack, he allegedly organized a proxy server to try to disguise or hide his IP address. The prosecution assumes that Kretsinger and the prosecution partners obtained access to Sony Pictures' confidential information using a SQL injection on the company's website.

Of the important, among other things, “blah blah blah” - the prosecution suggests that to hide the evidence, Cody Kretsinger reformatted the hard drive of his computer.

If the charge is proved, the guy faces up to 15 years in prison.
