The friendly team consisting of Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax (already!), Samsung and Sony finally joined Nikon. This morning, the company officially announced its mirrorless cameras: Nikon V1 and Nikon J1.
While some companies are already the fourth or even the fifth mirrorless camera, the monsters of the photo - Canon and Nikon - are thinking about something of their own. What the first thing on the mind - we learned - PowerShot S100 and SX40 HS. But Nikon did what was expected of her for a long time.

Nikon 1
The company announced not just new cameras, Nikon presented a whole digital photosystem with the straightforward name “1”. The essence of "edinichki" in a wide range of technologies that, according to Nikon, have no analogues today. Thanks to the EXPEED dual-core processor, the 3 new cameras are "the fastest in the world."
Among the special features is “Motion Snapshot”: when accelerated video shooting and photography are simultaneously conducted in the same mode. Nikon assures that with this mode you can record especially well, for example, oncoming waves, a child's smile and blowing out the candles on the cake.
Another trick - an intelligent picture selection - will be useful when shooting dynamic scenes. With just one press of the shutter button, the camera takes 20 high-resolution pictures at high speed, and then automatically selects the five best shots for facial expression, composition, and focus. After that, the best shot is displayed on the LCD screen. And if you don't like it, the camera will offer several others to choose from.
NIkon J1
Nikon 1 J1 (that's right, in the full name of the two units) - the smallest in its class digital camera with interchangeable lenses and a matrix of more than 25.4 mm. What are the only wording you do not go for the record. Another feature of the camera - the smallest delay in the world when shooting.
The design of the camera is minimalist. The body is light, but, at first sensation, reliable. The device weighs 277 grams.
Inside the J1 is a 10.1 megapixel CMOS format CX (13.2 mm x 8.8 mm) with autofocus support (up to 135 focus areas). The camera shoots at speeds up to 60 frames per second, and with high resolution. Working range ISO: 100-3200, with the ability to shoot 6400 in a separate mode.
Matrix Sony NEX-5 and Nikon J1
Three-inch display (460 000 points), with a wide viewing angle and protective glass.
Nikon J1 also has a built-in flash and the ability to record video in Full HD format
According to Nikon herself, the J1 is a camera for those who are interested in taking photographs of personal and family stories as simple as possible. J1 will be available in five body colors: matt black, silver, glossy white, glossy red and hot pink with accessories in color.
Nikon V1
Nikon V1 is also a compact mirrorless, but already higher and more serious in appearance. “The camera is for fans of new technologies who want to take their photographic art to a new level,” Nikon told us.
The V1 is also compact, but it has a strong case and a bright electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 1,440,000 dots.
Plus a multifunctional accessory connector: SB-N5 flashes and a GP-N100 GPS receiver (see below).
Inside, almost everything is the same: a 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, an EXPEED 3 processor and the recording of photos on an SD card.
The display is also three-inch, but the resolution is higher: 921 thousand points.
Lenses
The company also introduced four new lenses 1 Nikkor and Bayonet 1.
All lenses have small dimensions and weight - for maximum portability and perfect camera balance. The first series includes models 1 Nikkor VR 10-30 mm (standard lens with 3x zoom) for shooting everywhere and everywhere; retractable 1 Nikkor VR 30-110 mm (telephoto lens with zoom), ultra-thin 1 Nikkor 10 mm for wide-angle shooting and 1 Nikkor 10-100 mm PD-ZOOM (motorized zoom with adjustable speed) for video lovers. And Nikon was quick to note that the development of new lenses 1 Nikkor is already underway.
Accessories
The SB-N5 Speedlight (in the pictures above) is compatible with the Nikon V1 and, apparently, with future Nikon mirrorless cameras. The flash can be rotated horizontally and vertically, equipped with a guiding light.
The GP-N100 GPS module is compatible with V1 and is designed for geotagging images. Information about longitude, latitude and altitude is stored automatically.
The adapter for the F-mount allows you to use any Nikkor lenses for digital SLR cameras with Nikon 1 cameras. The adapter is compatible with Nikon 1 V1 and Nikon 1 J1 cameras.
Plus covers, belts, hoods, grips, and the ability to connect an external Nikon ME-1 microphone.
New cameras will be available in the States in October. Nikon J1 with a 10-30 mm lens will cost $ 650, and Nikon V1, with the same glass in the kit, will cost $ 900.
