Fitting room on the basis of augmented reality VIPodium
Last week a new virtual fitting room based on augmented reality - Virtual Interactive Podium was introduced.
The Russian company, Fitting Reality, for the first time presented its product at the DEMO Fall 2011 conference, which was held in Santa Clara (California).

VIPodium, based on augmented reality technology, allows you to try on hundreds of items of clothing and accessories in real time. The user not only sees himself on the screen in new clothes, but also controls the program with simple gestural commands: waving his arms and pressing invisible buttons right in the air. VIPodium user can view the selected virtual copy of things from different sides: both front and back.
The company's CEO compares the fitting room with existing search engines. The latter allow the user to get the information of interest in a couple of clicks. The purpose of VIPodium is to provide the buyer with comprehensive information about clothes with a few gestures. With it, everyone can choose the right clothes for him, try on and be sure that this thing fits well and is perfect for him.
The system can be used both at home and in the store. The purchase takes place using the associated mobile application.
