LocalHero is a mobile application that was announced a couple of weeks ago as part of TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. With LocalHero, you can find friends from your circle who have the right qualities to help you with your problem. LocalHero searches for friends who live near you, and selects from them those with whom you have common interests and who are likely to be able to help you. He will also allow you to respond to calls for help from other people and feel like a hero.

“Social networks allow people to keep in touch with their friends and acquaintances wherever they are. However, there is currently no way to appeal only to a certain group of friends for help without divulging it to the whole world or creating special lists of friends. We created LocalHero, a smart tool that easily allows friends to become real heroes for their friends and the people in the neighborhood. ”

Ana Baltodano talks about what motivated her to create such an application:

At business school I had the opportunity to study with a group of very successful company executives. They always shared their knowledge and helped each other. That's when I first thought about such an application as LocalHero. ”

The application is already available for the iPhone ( link to the App Store ), the version for Android will be ready as soon as possible.
