ProfitConf - conference of web developers in Novosibirsk on September 25-26

ProfitConf is a new conference about web development and web project management, which will be held in Novosibirsk on September 25 and 26 as part of Siberian Internet Weeks. And we want to make it damn good: we included excellent reports and several master classes into the program. But first things first.

Program

On the first day of the conference, two streams of reports will be held, divided into four sections: backend-development, frontend-development, development for mobile platforms and project management.

One of the main tasks of ProfitConf is to give an opportunity to increase the level of their knowledge and competence, learn new practices and technologies that can be improved and applied on your real projects. Here are some of the reports that we have prepared:

• “What and how should you program on Erlang?” - a report by Maxim Lapshin, the creator of ErlyVideo, about when and for which tasks you should use Erlang.
• “How do we manage the development of ivi.ru” from ivi.ru project manager Egor Danilov on how video service is developed and developed

Master Classes

The second day of ProfitConf is the day of master classes, at which you can study in depth and in detail the technologies you like, the reports on which will take place on the first day. We have prepared three master classes that will go in two streams.

• "Modern approaches in layout: CSS3, HTML5, mobile platforms, responsive design, layout of mailing lists and other subtleties" - the second, revised version of the master class on layout from Yuri Artyukh from Evil Martians, which takes place not for the first time and not only Novosibirsk.
• “Introduction to Agile: Basic Principles and Engineering Practices of XP” - master class from Anton Katkov, Scrum Trek. This master class consists of theoretical and practical parts . On the theoretical part, Anton will talk about the practices of Agile, Scrum and XP, and then on the practical part of the XP practice will be considered in action. Participants will be able to experience basic XP practices, compare this with their usual style of development, see the pros and cons. But the most important thing is that participants will get real experience, which they will be able to apply in their daily work.
• “Development of web applications on Erlang on the example of developing the server part of an MMO game” - a practical workshop of Maxim Lapshin on development on Erlang , in which Maxim will show on the example of a real application how the development on Erlang takes place, what its advantages are and how generally use.

At master classes you need to have a laptop and a charger with you. Different workshops require different levels of training.

Communication

What technical conference without communication? After the success of the whiskey-party Codefest , to the creation of which we once had a hand, set the quality bar, which we will try to support and raise even higher. Sandwiches, cookies and other zamanushki - will be. And there will also be a chill out area with flip charts and ottomans, so that you can talk to the speakers, discuss what was heard on the reports and master classes, or just share the experience with colleagues.
