In July of this year, Google acquired a patent package from IBM. The package included 1030 patents related to various technologies, including technologies for the production of microprocessor chips, memory modules, work with databases and so on. This time, Google acquired another 1023 patents from IBM. Experts say that a new batch of patents will help the “Good Corporation” to get additional protection for its mobile OS.
Now patent wars are in full swing, and this year the activity of various corporations related to patents and copyright is the highest in recent years. True, representatives of Google argue that there is no particular danger for the development of the corporation, and the Google team is quietly developing existing technologies and creating new ones.

But stocking up patents does not hurt. For example, the acquisition of Motorola Mobility for 12.5 billion dollars brought the corporation 17 thousand different patents. Recently, Google sold some of these patents to the Taiwanese company NTS. The latter, having received a package of patents, will be able to take a more reliable position when defending in court. Well, the plaintiff in this case is Apple, everything, as usual.
NTS, actively working with the mobile OS Android, has repeatedly been prosecuted by Apple. This time, the NTS received help from Google, and perhaps the acquired patent package will help the Taiwanese manufacturer to get rid of the attacks of Apple once and for all. Well, Google continues to defend Android.
