74 new cities in 2011

The most frequently asked question for us is not even about iOS at all (by the way, the answer is: we are doing, it will be closer to the end of the year), but “when will you leave in our city”. We are working closely on territorial development, and the year 2011 turns out to be very fruitful for us: from the beginning of the year we went out to 62 cities of Russia (15 large cities with satellite cities) and by the end of the year we plan to go back to 12 more.

• Moscow + 34 cities (a total of 962 settlements are represented in Moscow’s 2GIS!). Of course, this was a serious bar for us, because Moscow is the seventh largest city in the world, and we collect information manually and recheck everything that we contribute. In May, a beta version of the Moscow directory was released, over the summer we added and refined it, and in September the official release was already released. In total, 120,000 man-hours were invested in the creation of Moscow’s 2GIS.
