Evernote extension for Chrome improved copying articles

We always try to make our online extensions smarter so that you can spend a minimum of time copying to Evernote and not be distracted from the actual work on the Web. Today we are pleased to present an updated extension for the Google Chrome browser, in which we managed to implement it very well. Also in this update, a bug was fixed with copying content for Russian-language accounts in Windows.

Custom Copy

A few months ago, we made the function of copying an article that allowed you to press a button once, and Evernote automatically selected a likely area of the page to save. When it comes to blog entries, this feature usually captures the post itself, but what if you also want to copy comments? Now you can easily add them to the copied fragment of a web page, using only the arrow keys.

Go to the page with the blog entry and click on the Evernote extension icon, without selecting anything. The web clipper will highlight the area you probably want to copy. Now use the arrow keys to expand or change the highlighted field. The "Left" and "Right" buttons will make the area larger or smaller. "Up" and "Down" will allow you to move between sections of the page. Try it, it's really convenient.

We also added several related settings to the extension. They are available by clicking the right mouse button on the Evernote icon on the browser toolbar.

Extensions Updates at Work

We are working on expanding the functionality for all of our browser extensions. Safari users, stay tuned, the update will be released for you very soon.
