Samsung has filed a lawsuit against Apple

This is probably to be expected: Samsung has sued Paris in a lawsuit against Apple. The essence of the charge is Apple’s violation of certain Samsung patents. As you can see, there is no dispute over the external similarity of devices and design in general, the claim concerns exclusively technologies related to mobile devices.

Samsung’s lawsuit says that Apple violates three patents of a Korean company concerning various mobile technologies. Unlike Apple, Samsung filed a lawsuit in France, in a court of Paris, and not in Germany. Patents, in violation of which the Korean technology giant blames Americans, relate to UMTS, or rather, high-speed data transmission in cellular networks. The lawsuit affects the technology applied in the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, as well as all iPad models with a 3G module.

It is worth noting that in France, Samsung is still free to sell its Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, banned for sale in Germany and Australia by a court order that Apple’s lawsuit against Samsung was considered. Now Apple is suing Samsung in Japan, once again accusing the Korean company of copying the design of its own devices. The lawsuit concerns the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 7.

It seems that the patent wars of these two companies will not subside soon. So far, Samsung is losing, suffering losses due to the prohibition of sales of its gadgets in different countries (mainly - European). But things can change, as happened more than once in such cases.
