The batteries of Motorola and Nokia phones are explosive.

Motorola and Nokia mobile phone batteries explode more frequently than others - experts from the industry and trade department of the South China province of Gandong came to this conclusion, Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday.

The organization's specialists tested 40 batches of batteries for various brands of mobile phones, as a result of which they found that only 60% of them meet the requirements of quality and safety.

According to experts, the Motorola HAC1221 3.7V / 780 mAh battery from an unknown manufacturer is more likely to catch fire or explode.

Batteries of the same company with the BR50 3,7V / 710 mAh label manufactured by the Chinese branch of Motorola and the batteries produced by the Beijing branch of the Sanyo company for Nokia, the battery with the BL-4B 3,7V / 850 mAh mark, also proved to be unsafe.

According to the results of the audit, the experts also made serious complaints about the safety of mobile phone chargers. Of the 20 tested lots, only 20% meet the requirements, eight of the tested lots are found to be completely unsuitable.

The study was conducted after a 22-year-old Chinese worker died as a result of an explosion of a rechargeable battery of a cell phone in his pocket. The incident occurred on June 19 in the city of Lanzhou in the northwestern province of Gansu, but the local press reported it only this week.
