Startup Weekend is one year old

Hello! We have not only good news and a report on the weekend of the 12th weekend, we also have a holiday!

Startup Weekend in Russia celebrates its first anniversary. A year ago, on the first Weekend in Moscow , 250 participants gathered representing 50 online projects. Since then, we have spent several working days off in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg. In just one year, more than 850 start-ups worked with us, by the way, you can get acquainted with the survivors and the projects that continued their work on our website .

We had the biggest Startup Weekend in the world!

Last weekend in Moscow was the 12th Startup Weekend, which gathered 1018 participants and 111 projects. This Weekend has become the largest ever held in the world, and they are already held in more than 30 countries. And we want to tell you a little about what has changed this year and how the Russian Weekend managed to change the world. :)

We made Startup Weekend free.

We were not the first to be afraid and canceled the fee for a ticket to a working session for the authors of startups, opening the doors of our events to everyone. Other sites followed, so now the entrance is free. :)

We have implemented a mentoring system in Russia - and not only!

We are actively developing a community of experts who are ready to support ideological developers and aspiring Internet entrepreneurs with their own experience and experience. Now among the experts of Glavstart there are already more than 80 remarkable professionals from different cities of Russia.
Last Startup Weekend in St. Petersburg, the founders and founders of the American Startup Weekend came to us, they liked our innovation with mentoring support at weekends so much that they decided to spread this idea all over the world, and now experts are becoming part of Startup Weekend at different parts of the world .

We began to acquaint young authors of Internet projects with investors!

Today Glavstart , a startup factory led by Arkady Moreynis, has invested 10 projects , and another 5 are now at the negotiation stage.
We also attract new investors. Now, among the experts working at Startup Weekend, you can find more and more seed and venture capital investors who are ready to financially support the project at the earliest stage. At the last Weekend, investors and representatives of start-up incubators literally caught participants at the stage and offered financing.
We are developing the Wanted Venture Capital site , where any eligible Internet project that needs investments can be seen by private investors and most Russian investment funds.

And we are not going to stop!

The next in turn is our second Startup Weekend in Siberia , which will pass in a week and a half. And we are around the clock, 7 days a week, waiting for letters from the authors of Internet projects at idea@glavstart.ru
