Correction of new accounting rules for App Engine applications. Good news
Google announced changes regarding the introduction of new rules for accounting for resources used by applications under App Engine. The main news is that now there will be 28 free hours per day per application instead of 24. This gives a good chance for weakly loaded applications to remain within the framework of free quotas. In addition, the transition to the new system was postponed until November 1. Peter Magnusson (Google CTO, responsible for App Engine) admitted that it was a mistake to give so little time to system users for a preliminary assessment of the situation and optimization of their applications. They are promised improvements in the console regarding accounting of instances, and reports (usage reports) will now be available the next day. Also extended the validity period of a 50% discount. Now it will be saved until December 1 (it is assumed that by then Python 2.7 will be available).
