
Not so long ago there was a new application,
Smozzy , which allows you to
surf the net without using the mobile Internet. It works quite simply: a user request is sent to the Smozzy server via SMS, and the answer is packed into an archive, encoded into PNG, and then sent back via MMS.
Unfortunately, now it works only in T-Mobile, and, obviously, you need to have an unlimited tariff for SMS / MMS. Also, the downside is the fact that messages are not encrypted. In addition, there is a risk that T-Mobile will actively deal with the application, since it greatly violates the intended use-cases of their tariff plans.
