A few days ago, Nvidia began accepting applications for a $ 25k grant for graphics and high performance computing research projects on the Graduate Fellowship Program .

To get the cherished 25 thousand you need:
1) Finish the first year of graduate school;
2) Learn from the specialty related to computing (you can not pay attention to it, the automotive industry turned out to be a very suitable specialty :));
3) Be a member of a research group;
4) Continue training in the grant year.
There are no restrictions on the place of study, so you can submit an application from anywhere in the world.

1) Project description for 2 pages;

3) Up to 3 recommendations from professors.

Last year there were 8 winners of 20 thousand each, this year they promise to distribute 25 thousand to 10 participants. As a participant in last year’s competition, I can say that you can get something without winning. In any case, last year I was unsubscribed from Nvidia and they said that I was in the final, but I did not reach for the victory a bit. For such a case, I received a reward in the form of a free registration at the GTC 2012 conference with a pre-made poster and a GTX480 for free, plus a line in the resume about entering the final of the competition.
