Twitter has 100 million active users logged in at least once a month, and 50 million active users every day. About this in an interview with journalists told the CEO Dick Costolo.

A total of 200 million users have been registered in the microblogging service, but the question of how many of them are actually active has been open for a long time. Exactly half of them come in every month - this number has increased by 82% since the beginning of the year. Less than 40% of users did not tweet last month, preferring to simply read other users.

Costolo presented a whole set of statistics to prove that Twitter is healthy and growing by leaps and bounds - especially on mobile platforms. About 55 million users log in to Twitter from a phone or tablet every month. The web interface is also on the rise: Twitter.com has 400 million visitors per month, compared with 250 million at the beginning of the year.

About a billion tweets are posted every five days on Twitter — 230 million tweets every day, and a new record of tweets per second was recently set: 8900. Twitter counts on 26 million new active users by the end of the year.
