An update to the open source email client from the Mozilla project - Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 has been released. In the release of Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 only two fixes, both related to security and both are similar to those presented in Firefox 2.0.0.6. The first (MFSA 2007-26) eliminates the possibility of exceeding privileges through the “about: blank” windows, and the second (MFSA 2007-27) eliminates the critical vulnerability in URI processing, leading to the ability to launch third-party applications. More information about Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 and download links are provided on page.
