The popularity of tablets is growing every day, and despite the fact that for some companies this business has not gone (HP), every month manufacturers announce more and more new tablet PCs. Naturally, a tablet without software is just a piece of plastic (well, a metallized piece of plastic in some cases), and there is a job for software developers too. Mozilla is trying to keep up with the times, and now the Mozilla Mobile Team developer community is working hard on a new Firefox project for tablets.

Yesterday several screenshots of the new version of this browser were presented, plus the developers talked a bit about the project. The browser for tablets is a consequence of the "evolution of the version for mobile phones," with some improvements. The enhancements take into account the increase in display size, relative to mobile phones, and add several useful features.

Unfortunately, the developers have provided not so much information, but there are already screenshots, so you can judge that it will be the future Firefox for tablets. The screenshots show that the browser interface has much in common with the overall design style of Android Honeycomb. Actually, it cannot be otherwise, since “Tablet Firefox” is intended for tablets with Android OS.
The release date of the Mozilla browser for tablets is still unknown, unfortunately.
