Windows 8 will have native support for ISO and VHD

We continue the review of the new Windows 8 functionality. Another useful feature is native support for ISO and VHD . This feature will be integrated directly into Windows Explorer. Mounting ISO images and VHD virtual disks is done by double clicking on the file, after which a new virtual disk immediately appears in the system. With the contents of the VHD, you can work in Explorer like a regular disk - add, edit or delete files.

The “extraction” of a virtual disk is performed with the Eject button.
