Information Security Expert Thomas Shinder to visit Moscow and speak at Tech ∙ Ed Russia 2011

Today, Thomas Shinder is a Lead Engineer in one of Microsoft’s development teams. The product that Thomas is developing is called Unified Access Gateway, a tool for ensuring secure remote access to enterprise business applications that are part of the Forefront family. Unified Access Gateway allows you to deploy a secure VPN-network with SSL support and protection through the built-in firewall.

It is curious that Thomas has a deep medical education, which he received at the universities of Berkeley, Illinois, Texas in the United States. He worked for three years in the specialty at the University of Health and Science of Oregon, USA. In the IT industry, Thomas began his career in the early 1990s, working as a trainer, writer, and consultant to several Fortune 500 companies, including FINA Oil, Lucent Technologies, and Sealand Container Corporation. In 2000, Thomas became the editor and moderator of the http://www.isaserver.org site, which later became the leading resource dedicated to ISA Server. In December 2001, for his contribution to the development of the ISA Server community, Thomas received the status of Most Valued Professional (MVP).

For 13 years, since 1997, Thomas Shinder has worked at TACTEAM, which today also provides training and consulting for various companies on the topics of network technology and IT security. Thomas is an active writer and has written many books in his creative life, for example:
