Not so long ago, we ran through the news that Microsoft may soon release at least a beta version of the service pack for Vista. And it seems to have happened. Nearly. Information about the Vista Compatibility and Reliability Pack, intended for testers, appeared on the Web yesterday.
Improvements in compatibility with various drivers for video cards, optimization of the process of copying folders with a large amount of files and data, increasing reliability when upgrading from XP to Vista, improving the performance of Vista Memory Manager and a couple of nice patches were found among the improvements in this service pack. Download the Vista Compatibility and Reliability Pack (for 32-bit and 64-bit versions) and you can see the list of edits here .
Just keep in mind that this is by no means the final release of the service pack and you will put it on your system (if you need it, of course) at your own risk and peril. But even the test version of the Vista Compatibility and Reliability Pack says that the release of the SP1 is clearly not far off. ')
