Google Analytics servers again fail to cope

Users report further problems with Google Analytics . Recall that the web statistics service first began to give serious failures two months ago , when many users reported a loss of statistical data. Now the problem turned out to be much more ambitious: it affected all or almost all accounts, but at the same time it turned out to be not so fatal. Although the statistics were delayed for several days, they were still not completely lost, and now they are starting to be processed.

Reportedly, the system “jammed” on Saturday evening, when Google Analytics stopped updating the statistical data available in user reports. Responding to cries of outraged users, the technical service explained that the data was not lost, there was just a delay in processing it. However, this delay was somewhat delayed: we had to wait for updates both on Sunday and on Monday, at least until lunchtime.

As noted by independent observers, the performance problems of Google Analytics began to be observed more and more often. After the May blackout, similar problems were also noted on the weekend of July 14-15, and last week users could not log into their accounts. In previous cases, problems affected only a small percentage of free service users. It seems that the current failure has become the most serious lately.

Apparently, performance problems are associated with a major upgrade to Google Analytics , which occurred in May. At least, the old interface was clearly faster than the current one, and there were almost no failures at that time.

Although, of course, performance problems can be associated not only with the new interface, but also with a significant increase in the load on Google Analytics servers, as this service is becoming increasingly popular.
