Ciklum Supports International Chrome Hackathon & Contest

Ciklum always supports meetings and events of various professional development communities in various cities, for example, in Ukraine in Kiev , Kharkov , Dnepropetrovsk and other cities, as well as in Belarus (for example, in Minsk )

This time in Kiev, in our office with a picturesque view on August 27-28, as in 7 cities of the CIS, the international Chrome Hackathon & Contest will be held, organized by the Kyiv GTUG Center


The hackathons and the contest itself will be organized in 4 stages:

• 1.Chrome Hackathons (August 27-28) 2-day event in 8 cities of the CIS. In St. Petersburg with a key speaker from Google: Mike West (Google Chrome Advocate, Munich) . Speakers presentations and questions will be broadcast using Hangout Google+ and GoogleTalk.
  At the same time, hackathons start in Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, Voronezh, Omsk, Ufa and Yerevan.
• Chrome Contest - (August 29 - October 8) An online contest that takes place over the course of a month, developers complete their applications and extensions and get ready for the final.
• Final - DemoFest (October 9) The event will be held at the Moscow office of Google.
• Presentation and awarding of winners (October 10)

  The three winners of the Chrome Hackathon & Contest will receive Mac Book Air laptops, which will be presented at the Google Developers Day 2011 awards ceremony. Additional 4 and 5 places will be awarded with valuable prizes.
