Google Earth has updated the images of Russian cities

As our editorial board noted, satellite images of Moscow three years ago no longer have a place to exist in Google Earth. They were replaced by the coverage of a whole month ago, dated May-June 2007. In addition to the date of the pictures, you can mark their increased detail. At the moment, these are the most recent satellite maps of Moscow, widely available to Internet users. At the same time, the images in the browser-based version of viewing maps of Google Maps remained old, but most likely this is not for long. Let me remind you that the previous “record” of the novelty of the maps was Yandex.Maps, which recently launched the project of providing satellite images to their users.
upd: As Hfrachelovek Xfrid tells us, not only Moscow but also St. Petersburg maps have been updated.
