At the same time, the modified Android interface in this firmware, to put it mildly, resembles the interface of a well-known phone on “i”.



So, these same guys decided that the firmware was a firmware, but the phone was better and, after calling themselves Xiaomi, they released the phone. The device is called MI-One and has very good characteristics, which make it possible to attribute it to the flagship of the Android smartphone market.

It is under this slogan that the developers of MIUI work, but if you look at the result ... Redefining Android in i style?

It seems that the Chinese have not yet learned the patent wars and are confident that no one will notice anything, or they are counting on selling their devices exclusively in China. In any case, such a rethinking looks more like a copy, which is very difficult not to notice. Do we need it in this form? Will show the result of the first wave of sales of the device and the reaction from other companies, if any.

A little thought

Now it is difficult to talk about some success of this device.

Yes, cheap, yes, powerful, yes, stylish, but in all these advantages there is a downside.

Cheapness from China is often fraught with a decrease in service life. Power may cause overheating. And the style is too similar to the iPhone, which adds problems when certifying the device. I sincerely doubt that we will once see this smartphone on the counter of any Euroset or Connected, but maybe the Mi-one will repeat the fate of Orange San Francisco, which was very much loved for its low price and decent quality?
