Americans only need iPad
According to a report published on August 17, 95% of tablet computer owners and those who want to buy it, dream of an Apple iPad.
The report, which was published by analyst agency Robert W. Baird & Co , was compiled from a survey of 1,114 people, 98% of whom live in the United States.

More than 50% of respondents aged from 22 to 60 said they had already purchased a tablet or were interested in purchasing it, however, 95% of respondents chose Apple iPad as a priority.
Although survey participants could choose several different options, only 10% chose a Hewlett-Packard TouchPad tablet, and no more than 4% chose a Playberry tablet from Blackberry. Iconia from Acer, which uses the Android system, gained no more than 1% among the respondents.
Jason Noland, an analyst and author of the study, said that any competitor to the iPad is unlikely to reach its popularity in the near future: “I find it hard to believe that someone can compete with the iPad,” he said during a telephone interview. "I think that other companies have chances if they offer a much cheaper product that can be used as a production tool in their work."
When asked if Google can compete with Apple using Android gadgets, Mr. Noland replied: “Until the device comes with fantastic additions and is half the price of an iPad, this is hardly possible.”
The study also showed that 83% of tablet owners are still planning to buy a PC in addition to it . This means that the replacement of personal computers with tablets is very slow.
