A survey conducted by
Salary.com showed that about 1.7 hours (that is, 1 hour and 42 minutes) out of the 8.5-hour workday, 60% of American employees spend on everything except the actual work.
Of these lazy people, 34% wander the Internet, 20.3% communicate with colleagues, and 17% solve personal business issues. To the question what caused the shirking of the main job, 18% called boredom, almost 14% - an excess of time, 11.8% - a low salary, 11.1% - the lack of hard work. 2057 people took part in the survey.
