Avatar for car computer

Audi, together with specialists from the Technical University of Munich, is developing the Avatar-based Virtual Co-driver System (AviCoS) . This is an interface for automotive reference and information system. An avatar in the image of a woman or man at the right time to appear on the display of the information system. He will read aloud reference information and point his finger at the relevant sections of the photo and video. Thanks to the speech recognition system, an avatar can even understand terms and answer technical questions.

In order not to distract the driver from the road, the avatar image will disappear from the screen when the vehicle speed increases, but you can talk to him on the go.

It seems that during the acceleration of the avatar with a soft female voice, it asks:
')
- You are trying to exceed the maximum speed limit. Would you like to...
... slow down?
... extend the warranty on the car?
... locate speed radars and police posts?

Speech recognition and speech synthesis systems for this technology already exist, so there is nothing fantastic in such development. In the future, the developers plan to add a driver's emotional state recognition system by analyzing the pitch of the voice and the speed of speech. If the driver is in a state of stress, the system will turn off the animation on the screen (this is supposed to reduce the information and emotional load on the driver and allow him to concentrate on the road).

In addition, the "human" interface can be connected to the car's navigation system, so the same avatar will give voice prompts along the route on the road.
