Tablet screen size is 10.1 inches, weight is 565 g, and thickness is 8.6 mm. The tablet is equipped with a dual-core processor nVidia Tegra 2 with a frequency of 1.1GHz. Two cameras - the front 2 Mpix and the main 3 Mpix - allow you to shoot 720p video and organize GoogleTalk video calls. The tablet's screen is based on Samsung's own design, the PLS (Plane to Line Switching) matrix, which is capable of providing 10% more brightness than IPS matrices. High screen resolution (1280x800 pixels) allows you to comfortably browse the Internet, photos, videos and other content. The battery capacity of 7000 mAh allows you to use the tablet for more than 9 hours without recharging. Among the accessories to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet is available a card reader for reading SD cards and an adapter for HDMI to connect the tablet to the TV.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs on the Android 3.1 platform, and is equipped with a proprietary TouchWiz interface. This shell is simple and easy to set up. It adds Mini Apps Tray - a panel with a task manager (where you can “kill” unnecessary applications and clear the memory of background processes), and also contains a list of recently launched applications, a set of widgets and services.
The tablet has a full browser (with bookmarks and magazine) with support for Adobe Flash 10.3. Among the preinstalled programs that are not included in the standard Android 3.1 delivery package are: Polaris Office (office suite), Pulse News (news reader), Pen memo (handwritten notes), uTalk (messenger), and Samsung Apps (app store Samsung), as well as corporate services Social Hub, Readers Hub (a collection of books and the press) and Music Hub (music aggregator).
